My complaint:

Hello my name is Matthew, and I was recently hired by your location in boulder, Colorado. I am writing you today to let you know about my experience thus far as trainee. Ben the General manager hired me after a short interview, a few days later he texted saying that he could not find my application and had me reapply on the company web site. Shortly thereafter I started my training. Tony the morning grill cook trained me on my first day. He provided detailed information on how to properly run the grill station and how food should be prepared. Tony also answered all the questions I had and showed me where I could find additional information if I needed. My second day of training started with time being spent on Cava U. during my lessons at Cava U, I learned how to use Cava U, about company values, and safety standards. After my time on Cava U, I spent the rest of the evening training with Kyle whose home location is in castle rock, Colorado. My second night of training ended with no issue. My third day of training started with ben texting to let me know that I should not come in as it was as slow day. 20 minutes before the start of the shift ben again texted asking if I could come in as kino had called out. I arrived on time for my shift. During the shift I overheard ben talking with other employees about how he was going to write kino up for calling out. Later in the evening I was working the line. At some point ben decided to pull every employee but myself for a powwow in the back. Shortly after ben left for the evening my coworkers decided to be disrespectful to the point that I had to ask them to stop the disrespect. Afterwards there was tension between myself and josh the manager on duty. As the night wore on my coworkers and I got back on level footing and the night ended on good terms. My fourth day of training stared out just as any other day had. As our rush began my coworker specifically Tate (that evening grill cook) ignored my calls for replenishments of line items as did many of my other coworkers. During a slow moment I asked Tate if he could hear my call for replenishments, it is at this; point that Tate said he was a bit hard hearing. I have been personally told by many friends and coworkers that I need to lower my voice as I speak very loudly so I know that I was being loud enough. I had begun to grow frustrated at the situation and ben had taken note. Ben pulled me of the line and began questioning my about why I was upset I told him how my coworkers were ignoring my calls for replenishments. He then procced to tell me that he had contacted Human resource and that they were launching an investigation in my conduct. I end the night with ben sending me home. Please feel free to contact me via email or phone 3036410289.

Thank you for your time,

Matthew Martinez (trainee)
