My complaint:

My complaint is that I had a warranty with car shield and I heard an engine noise and I took my car in for service at Currie Motors CHEVROLET 8401 w Roosevelt road in Forrest park il. The dealership notified car shield after the engine was taken apart so they could check out what was causing the piston rod knock and the claims adjuster tells them and me that sludge was in the engine due to lack of maintenance but I gave them the records they requested but I told them my car was well maintained. If you Google what causes sludge in a cars engine it gives a few explanations but it says it comes from lots of stop and go in heavy congested traffic, lots of stop ligts in traffic and frequently driving short distances can cause sludge in a cars engine and it has a few more listings but like the dealership said it’s there way of not wanting to replace my engine. I have an elderly mom who’s on an oxygen machine that I take to her doctors appointment and to tje hospital when’s she’s not feeling well but car shield doesn’t wanna replace my engine. I tried to get Chevy corporate headquarters involved but they don’t want to help me as I have read that another consumer have had the same issue about a piston knock that Chevrolet didn’t want to fix and I will attach a clip for you to read. I also told Chevy headquarters that a had a problem with the oil pressure switch and it was a manufacturing defect but they didn’t want to hear what I was saying. I told them about 4 or 5 years ago I had the same problem with the oil pressure switch where as the oil warning light didn’t activate 4 years ago or 2 months ago that would warn me the oil was low. I told them how I know the technicians didn’t put the same defective oil sensor switch from the engine they replaced 4 or 5 years ago off the old engine onto the newer engine they replaced years ago but I kept tell them the switch was defective then and now because the oil warning light didn’t come on in the dashboard. If the switch operative then and now all this could’ve been avoided and I’ve contacted GM headquarters at least 4 times but they don’t care. Then Currie Motors CHEVROLET tells me since car shield didn’t replace my engine I’m liable for the fees of over $2000 for my car being in there shop for over the past 30 days and if I don’t pay they will put a lien on my car and Currie Motors never informed me this would happen if car shield didn’t replace the engine. So I’m blaming CHEVROLET for the faulty oil sensor switch and car shield for being a fraud and not replacing my cars engine. I’m attaching all the documents, contract and the clipping I found on Google about another consumer that’s having the same issue with his camaro. I’ve saw a few issues on Google about consumers having problems with their oil sensor switch as I know you will do more research about the oil sensor switch and about other camaros v6 piston problems. I just want my engine replaced so I can get to work and so I can take my elderly mom to her doctors appointments when she needs to go.

Suggested solution:

My desired solution is to have my engine replaced in my camaro like the Chevy dealership said that I need and as you can research that lots of cars have sludge build up no matter how you keep your maintenance on your car and I\'ve been a loyal 30 year customer.of Chevy camaros and look how I\'m treated. They don\'t care about the consumers!!
