My complaint:
I’m a Victim of Identity Theft and Capital One is attached to my long list of stolen funds just like my Bank Account, My MD. Unemployment and My Taxes. Someone took my funds from me and my kids with my son being disable this hits in the worst way at the worst time. I had 3 Cars purchased using my name and then someone tried to purchase a house in Florida. I have locked my card and it’s been locked since July of 2020, I’ve been in and out of the hospital from a life threatening issue and multiple surgeries. With the most recent one being this past Friday June 3 on my Foot, Ankle, Heel and Achilles Tendon.
I’m in bed bound for the next 6 weeks because that’s when I should be healed up. With my mental, physical, emotional health bad someone decides to use my information to call, get, put in orders for things. I almost died last August but luckily they caught it in time. However, Identity Theft has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through counting all my mental strained, physically weak and emotionally unstable I can’t do this fight anymore. I have Back Surgery soon plus, I’m still working on trying to get all of my stolen funds back so I can unfreeze my credit report, my accounts can be reinstated and get my life back. I truly thought Capital One wasn’t touched but I was wrong plus I sent notices, calls and emails about it too. I forgot all about Capital One Card, after paying it off in July of 2020 I haven’t used it since plus, I’ve asked Capital One for a new one when I found out my personal information was used to obtain funds from it.
Suggested solution:
Capital One is the best of the best and I think those who work there are very helpful, honest, hard working individuals. I mean I have called other accounts about this but, Capital One makes you relax.
All I want is the account back to normal showing $2,350.00 a fresh new card and I will be changing everything in it. I have a new phone with safety features like fingerprint and face recognition. I have Lifelock too and I just want my life back to normal.
