Booking.com complaint: Unable to stay in hotel but cant get reimbursed

My complaint:

I reserved a hotel room in Jackson, MS via booking.com. When I arrived at the hotel, they had no power and did not anticipate having power restored for several more days. However, the money was already taken from my bank account. Several calls and emails with booking.com and all they will tell me is that my booking was facilitated by a partner company, not booking.com directly (even though I made the booking on their website). I have asked repeatedly for them to provide me with the name of the partner company so I can contact them for a refund, and they refuse to answer my questions. They simply keep saying please be aware the partner company doesnt refer to the property itself, but to the company that offered this rate… So I am stuck paying for a hotel room that I was unable to use, through no fault of my own, and they will not provide me a way to contact the partner company that I was sent to…through their website!

Suggested solution:

I would like a full refund of my money immediately.
