I simply cannot make contact. Considerable time has been wasted attempting to make contact with Argos Customer Services by both phone and chat. When you call, all your order details are taken by automation, then you are told that we cannot help you at this time, and the calls are cut off. When I attempt to chat, this is blocked and I am not allowed to proceed due to the order number not being recognised, or my postcode.
All I wanted to do was to change my delivery day and after the delivery, I had a query about some functions on the dishwasher I purchased.
As a last resort, I went into the local Argos store who said that many staff are on furlough.
If Argos is not prepared to staff the company sufficiently, cannot offer customer service, then why are they still trading?
Based on the number sales of appliances, staff the Customer service department accordingly.
It is quite appalling that A are selling goods online, but not providing any access to any kind of customer support. This is totally unacceptable. Covid 19 is not an excuse for dreadful service.I would have shopped elsewhere if I knew that hours of my time would be spent on something as simple as speaking or chatting with Customer service. Either shut down or staff up.
