My complaint:
On December 29,2021 at approximated 8:30 pm. Myself and my female companion, entered the above mention premises through the bar parking lot entrance. We had not decided whether to eat at the bar or sit at a table. Instead, we decided to use the restrooms first. As we were passing the bar area to go around to the restrooms, we passed an Applebee’s employee who identified himself as the new manager for that location. He asked me if we were ready to be seated, and that we needed to speak with
employees at front entrance. I informed the manager that we were going to use restrooms and that I did not appreciate him telling me where I wanted to be seated. I and my companion entered our respective gender restrooms. I exited the restroom before my companion and noticed that the same manager whom I had encountered was now seated ten feet near the restrooms doors.
Again this manager insisted that I speak with an entrance door employee
to be seated. At that point I informed this manager that we had not decided whether to seat at the bar or a table. The manager at this point raised from his seated table and approached me. The manager then stated to me several times to leave the restaurant. I immediately went to the woman’s restroom door to inform my female companion that we were being told to leave the premises. As we were being escorted off the premises, I attempted to explain to the manager involved in this incident that I had been a customer of that locations for many years and that it was my prerogative to be seated at the bar or at a table. Again, the manager stated that he was the new manager and that we should leave. I asked the manager for his name. That I would be filing a complaint . Myself and my companion then left the premises and went to the AppleBee’s at Airport Road with no incident.
Suggested solution:
This New Manager should be Demoted and or dismissed from AppleBee's
I should be permitted to dine at any AppleBee location without being harassed.
