My complaint:

On Tuesday at around 1:30pm I was in the store buying some items. I also needed a aerosol spray, I saw some among other items all cluttered together. I looked for a price, I looked and looked. I decided to ask the checkout when I took it there with my other items. He scanned it, there was nothing. Oh! its free, he said. Are you sure I replied? yes, its free, nothing on the scanner. I thought, its my lucky day.

Today, Wednesday (day after) around 10:30am I called at the same store. I bought a few items, I came to the aerosols, they where still there, still cluttered with other items. I thought, these are free, I take some to the checkout. I approached her the same way, asking for a price, and are they still free?

FREE! she said? Nothing had shown up on the scanner. I explained why I said FREE. She called the manager, I explained. Who told you they were free? she asked. I told her it was the young man on the end checkout yesterday. He could be sacked for doing this, she said.

For goodness sake, don’t sack the guy, I relied. She walked off somewhere jangling her keys, ignoring me and my pleas. Now the nitty gritty of all this is, If these aerosols were not priced and, they were not on the checkout scanner, WHY WERE THEY STILL ON THE SHOP FLOOR? Shouldn’t the manager take responsibility for this? Was it her incompetence and not the young man on the checkout?

I was, in away disappointed that I’d not acquired the aerosols FREE AGAIN. I’m a 77 years old pensioner, I was making hey while the SUN SHINES. loq.

What could possibly happen after these two incidences took place in an ALDI STORE? 1, the young man is sacked, 2, the manager is sacked, 3, the aerosols are removed and given to our local charity. Or 4,NOTHING happens at all? Thanks for your time and patience.

How? Its not up to me to say. In any case, its not really a complaint as such, its more of an observation due to my experience I had in an ALDI STORE 2 days running. When I shop, I choose something, see the price, take it to the checkout and not have to go though stuff like this. To be honest, It does show a slight inefficiency of this store. Also, my own personal inconvenience because of it.

PS.
What got my goat the most in all this was, the manger (with the jangling keys) was all to eager to blame the young man. When I told her I couldn\'t say who it was, she said, we\'ll find out from the CCTV.
