Air Transat complaint: Never book with these travel agents

My complaint:

Worst experience with a travel company ever. Never book with these travel agents. They are very rude and they have no communication nor empathy. Flight is due on march 17th 2024 and still no tickets given

Policy is policy but I was hospitalized on february And my family and I can’t go to our trip anymore
Its so frustrating because as soon as we paid them they immediately made my mom sign paperwork that prevented us from changing anything with our order. And once you pay their customer service went down the drain and I was appalled to say the least.

We called and travel agent was too busy to even call us back for a week/ So by the time we got a hold of them and told them we needed help for a refund or even change the dates of our trip or at least change the names so we can give our tickets to someone else

It would be 15k cad lost ( we paid total 30k for a groupe of 14) just because of their slow response.
Im hospitalized and they couldn’t careless By the time they answered they just abruptly said no they cant do anything

I prayed night and day so I can join the rest of my family to my moms 65th birthday we paid a total of 30000 dollars

Im so sad because knowing I cant go on our trip of a lifetime that weve been waiting for since december.

They didnt even have the decency to try to help us change our trip dates

I dont want a refund but at least let us change the dates or even give our tickets to someone else

They havent even given our official tickets for our flight yet
I know theres still time to change some thing
Even if we have to pay a fee we dont mind

For sure they know now that we cant go to our trip and for sure they will just sell our trip to another group of people while keeping our money

I will never book with this company ever!! We just need a little help because of our situation . We dont want a full refund but have the decency to let us pay a fee to change our date or change the name of passenger. Im missing my mom 65th birthday. It would really mean a lot to us. Im loosing 15k because of this. We paid a total of 30k and they couldn’t even do nothing for us.

I swear to everyone trying to book a trip with air transat please be weary and id advise you to not. You would think after paying that much that at least some sort of cancellations insurance would be included

They really took advantage of my moms tender and nice attitude. They wanted to charge us 280$ per person for insurance cancellation/modification. But in the site the option flex and extra comes up to maximum 149 per person. Why are they trying to hustle my mother ? She was forced to sign the paperwork immediately without full explanation

If she had known she would have gave time for us to read I. The paperwork but they insisted if she didnt sign it. The prices would change etc

They took advantage of my mother and all they will reply to this review is that they are sorry for my experience. We want compensation for the abuse. This message will be passed down to everyone around the world. Please someone help us because this is unacceptable 🙁

Suggested solution:

At least let us change our flight dates for a fee

Refund would be best

But any compensation would be greatly appreciated

At least credit for another trip
