My complaint:

I have filed 3 x 3 Flight Disruption Claims a month ago related to my family’s travel from Toronto to Budapest round trip during the summer high season. So far there is no contact from Air Canada, which can only be contacted through their website that does nothing or by phone to Costumer Care where the operators can also do nothing.

Reason for the complaints is that Air Canada first cancelled the ed direct YYZ-BUD-YYZ booking for reason of eliminating the direct flights and changed the bookings to an inconvenient YYZ-FRA-BUD-FRA-YYZ routing. We found a better combination YYZ-VIE-BUD-MUN-YYZ and negotiated an arrangement that better suited than the offered change. Air Canada then issued the new ed bookings. The first leg of the trip went down as agreed YYZ-VIE-BUD. During the trip, Air Canada changed the return leg back to the already rejected BUD-FRA-YYZ routing that was no longer possible to reverse. This whole experience caused me lot of anxiety and the waiting at Frankfurt took a toll on the family.

I expect Air Canada to compensate for the inconvenience.

Suggested solution:

Provide compensation for the inconvenience either by cash or voucher for future travel.
