My complaint:
1. I had a call from a customer of Agoda’s asking for check-in instructions for stay booked through Agoda
2. I didn’t put any property on Agoda for business as host
3.Big corp like Agoda have not taken steps to check the host’s credibility, background of the accomodation whether it’s suitable or legally approved place to run the business
3-1. without any secruity steps and further, they allowed host whatever information put out there to enable the booking continues on the internet.
3-2. actual host put my phone number whether using other channels or whatnot, Agoda didn’t do any bare minimum of checks with phone number to verify the actual phone owner or host user. haven’t had any verifiacation code at all and neither I wasn’t agreed on anything
4. a customer where decided to stay at the property is not actually licensed and notorized by the goverment, it’s a personal space to rent it out for customer at agoda.
5. In Korea, you can’t run the place when your place isn’t registered as accomodation business in the city.
I hope this gives good threads as to why I want to file a complaint against Agoda

I wrote a complaint about this and have received a response that they will come back to me with valid reason how this happened initially. ever since their first response, no reply and nothing from their end.
I want a valid reason, take my phone number down, compensation for their unethical process and pressing charge against them for allowing unlicensed proeprty to put on business without taking proper background check. not only that unlicensed property is a problem but also put customer endanger in their safety and protection. it may cause various potential problems if we don't report these system, it will encourage these type of business growing aginst the law
