My complaint:

Initially contacted by someone named Billy Sanders- He called me so many times was crazy and borderline harassment- when I gave him time, I did not place my ad with him due to his pushiness and when I told him no, he got an English accented guy to come on and try to close me. His pitch or now I have come to know it was a blatant lie that caught my attention was You don’t pay for anything unless someone- clicks to call you OR clicks to set appointment with you. He went on to explain that in this way I don’t even need to watch my account billing until I start getting calls or appointments because there is no billing until calls or appointments happen.

His liepitch caught my attention, although I refuse to do business with pushy unprofessional people, I do know in a guaranteed audience format I will come out on top. For this reason, I called Yelp back and asked for a sales rep. The rep I was put on the line with I have come to find outor was told is Christopher C. To my own demise I explained what I was told and he quickly jumped on the band wagon, and rather than tell the truth -that all Yelp clients pay every time their ad is clicked on, regardless of if they set an appointment or call the ad- he continued to keep up the lie and booked my business with the same crap where Billy Sanders left off. I do not know if the entire Yelp sales staff uses this lie as a go too across the board to book business or not, but I do know for a fact this is what I was told by Yelp sales people and is not the case when it comes time to pay a bill, this was made clear by your customer success team. In fact someone named Chris V after I requested the call be reviewed came back and told me there will be no refund because of the tools made available and the ability to stop billing at any time. I replied and explained that me not checking or looking at my account was covered in their lie assuring me I did not have to watch my billing because there is no billing until I start getting calls or appointments – which never happened. I was not aware I was accruing a bill or balance due until I got an email a month later talking about a $600 balance which quickly grew to $770.43 by time I got Yelp to turn off the ad. Their lie is manufactured so that the business owner believes there is no due bill until appointments are set or calls come in, and because they never do the business owner is quietly getting screwed without knowledge of it going on. Another issue is when I did log in I saw many supposed views that went to our website- but no emails and no names or phone numbers to follow up on. Quite frankly other than Yelp’s claim it occurred there is no way to know if anyone actually went to my site at all of even clicked on my ad, it is completely covered by Yelp’s system so the business own sees however many supposed clicks Yelp makes it look like went to the ad. My question there is, if so many people went to my ad and were interested enough to click the ad and go to the website why did I not get 1 call or appointment whatsoever? My next question is my website is set up to track every visitor so why does my website not have any of the Yelp visitors tracked? Like they were ghosts and my website never recorded people that came from Yelp- the easy answer is no one came from Yelp and all the claimed people that clicked my ad are fictitious which would then say the Yelp on the whole is designed to deceive and take unearned money. When I try to bring these points up anyone I am speaking to transfers me to customer success which goes back to the we are a pay per click company and refuses to answer any of my concerns. The bottom line is this whole experience was based on a lie created by Yelp sales teams to book business with a sewn in deception why it is literally no check needed marketing campaign, that the business owner will clearly know when to check balances due when they start getting calls and appointments booked. It is deception from the beginning to the end and someone who cares needs to make it stop!

Suggested solution:

The total amount due should be reduced to the amount of people that was actually sent my way as per the way I was told by the Yelp Salesperson that I would be billed.
