My complaint:
I placed an order for Chamber 36, Liverpool on 18/08/23. I received my order on time, however it was missing the side to one of the main items. This basically ruined the meal for myself and my partner. I called up the restaurant who couldn’t offer to deliver the missing item, but told me to ask Uber for a full refund on that item (salt and pepper chicken – £10.90) to which they would tell Uber that that’s fine, if they were to ask. I told Uber this in the description for the complaint, so they were aware.
Uber then replied that they had refunded me only £3.27 (even less than the valuation of the missing side), have dismissed my reply and said that the matter is already solved and the refund already sent.
I believe this is poor customer service and found it quite insulting, therefore I would like the full amount of the item refunded, plus the service and delivery charge now that I’ve been dealt with so rudely.
Suggested solution:
They should resolve it by refunding the full amount of £10.90 for the item, plus the service and delivery for their ineptness in dealing with this issue, which has made me feel disrespected.
