Uber Eats complaint: Poor customer service

My complaint:

I placed an order for food from McDonalds and an additional £2.49 for a priority upgrade which should have meant a faster delivery and hotter food.

I could see on the app the driver was at the restaurant and then for some strange reason drives off a mile down the road for 10 minutes and just waiting there. I send a message to driver through the app and then get no reply but car goes back to pick my food up.

When I get the food it is completely stone cold and had to be binned. I ask Uber for help about this and said that i expected a refund being as the food was inedible and cold.

The only response initially was a robot saying cold food isn’t acceptable and Uber would deal with it. I then send another email asking for a refund again. An hour later I am given a refund of £2.49 as my order wasn’t a priority delivery in their words.

Totally unacceptable to expect me to pay for inedible fold and they really do not care about their customers or customer service. I Google about reviews and can see thousands of others with a similar experience.

Totally disgusting and they should be shut down.

Suggested solution:

They should refund me in full. If there is incompetence within the company then that is for them to pay for. I dont see why the customer should have to pay for such a poor service at all.
