My complaint:

Hi,
I am contacting as Ubereats have placed a charge of £27.80 on my Uber eats account. On 220221 I placed an order through Uber eats… they emailed me to inform me that my order has been cancelled. My order was cancelled and I did not receive my order, I had to order from somewhere else so why should I be liable to pay for this order which was not received? I have complained numberous times via the Uber eats app and I get an automated response from them to say it’s been over 48 hours so they can not do anything about this now. My point is why would I think Uber eats would charge me when my order is cancelled? I waited 2-3 days for this money to be refunded and it wasn’t so I contacted them and they have no interest or understanding. It’s an automated message. I left this for months but now I’m thinking why should I have to order food through other apps when I have done nothing wrong and Uber eats are scamming me right here. On the email it even states it is a temporary charge and will be removed!!!

Suggested solution:

Uber eats should clear the balance of £27.80 and I would expect some goodwill compensation for this as it’s ridiculous. Never have I paid for something that I have not received, if I have; I have been refunded and given an apology!
