My complaint:

I had Trugreen in the past in Illinois and when I moved to Florida, I decided to give them a chance here. They did a great job for the first 15 months when I had a single technician servicing my lawn. But he had a heart attack and retired and I got a revolving door of people through my yard and it began to look worse than it did before I got them to begin with. So I cancelled the service and did the yard myself. 18 months later they called and begged me to give them another chance as they have heard the complaints and have taken steps to rectify them. They committed to having one technician do the service and I agreed, paying the annual fee in advance for the discount. That was my first mistake. My second was believing they had improved. So I had a technician come out and service my lawn the first time in November 2021, he did a good job and I arranged for him to provide my lawn service. The second application was by another person, because my guy was on vacation. The 3rd and 4th applications were also by different people and I kept calling to find out why they were not following through on their commitment. So the 5th application was by the original tech. But the straw that broke the camels back was the 6th application when the guy was at my lawn (about 1 acre) for less than 10 minutes and when I questioned him, he told me we don’t do runoff areas. I called BS and told him it was part of the yard and everyone else did it, so he got in his truck and left. I called to complain and cancel the service but got a runaround from both the local people and the corporate people. They were supposed to cancel the service in June and refund the $227 remaining balance, but instead came out and did another application in July, a month after I cancelled. So, to say the least, the service is terrible, their customer care personnel lied about me calling in June telling me I had not called (but I have the phone record from June 23rd to prove otherwise). Needless to say, my yard looks worse since Trugreen started servicing it than it did when I serviced it, and all I did was NOTHING but spray a few weeds. They told me that they needed to have a supervisor come out an look at the lawn before cancelling, but when I asked why a supervisor did not take the time to come out during my previous complaint, I got no answer. Obviously, the supervisors are too busy to take their jobs seriously or are too busy running around following up on all the complaints.

Suggested solution:

They should refund the full $227.12 that they owe me for June and July.
