My complaint:

I made reservations to this motel for October 18-23, 2021. I wasn’t able to go so on October 17,2021 I sent a e-mail stating that I couldn’t keep my reservation. On or about October 18, the Travelodge took $ 237.90 out of my checking account. I have made several calls to their Consumer department . The staff has told me that the cancellation was received on time and they shouldn’t have taken the money. Every time I call they tell me there is a new requirement. I sent a letter last week with my bank statement showing the Bank name and where the money had been taken out. I called again to day and they told me that the information I sent was not enough for them to refund my money. I am preparing small claims court action if this matter is not resolved quickly. Is there anyway you could help me. Going into my account without permission is stealing. Refusing to pay it back is worse. Thanks Mike Sheppard.

Suggested solution:

I have asked for a refund in the amount of 237.90. I believe they should give me a little more because of the unnecessary problems they have caused with their possible illegal activity. I am on Social Security and cant afford to lose this money.
