My complaint:

On Friday, March 17, 2023, @ 6pm we arrived to celebrate the last weekend of our co-worker prior to his departure to Dallas, Tx, due to a job transfer. We are hard working postal employees and was looking forward to the enjoyable down time. Myself and another co-worker arrived @ 6:30, just as the server was taking, what I imagine was the the second round of drinks and the food orders. I ordered the Bbq shrimp taco and an Old Fashion cocktail. By 7:15, still no appetizers, food or drinks… Yet we noticed people who came in after us, not only eating, but some finished.

We were people of color, and the server NEVER returned… We had to go to the bar and purchase beverages, waiting 20 and up for service. 8:00pm, still no service, and we around for our server, only to find her bartending, with no server replacement for our table. We spoke to several managers, but the short dark skinned black guy with the beard was very dismissive, and was only concerned with trying to see how the tab would be handled, even though we hadn’t even received our food. A Hispanic female, was helpful in trying to get the food orders correct, as best she could.

The only explanation we received was the server now working the bar that took our order had to work the bar, yet the customers couldn’t be told? Question, had we not went to complain, were we going to be informed of the delay? Our food was brought to the table between 8:05 and 8:15, but by then, the mood was ruined, some of the people had left,and a few others had cashed out, because we have to work at 7am, and came straight from work to the restaurant… It was truly a horrible experience, so much so, that some of my co-workers posted their experience on facebook…

Did I mention our drink orders never arrived, bc the manager said, and I quote, I’m not worried about your drinks, I need to worry about the food order first. As a patron to your establishment, I believe his choice of words were very poor and distasteful, because evidently he wasnt worried about the drinks AT ALL. Taco Mac was the talk of the workroom floor Saturday morning, as most of the employees were comparing our service to the other patrons service, and even speculating that had we not been people of color, it possibly wouldn’t have went down that way.

I have lost total respect for this restaurant, and hadn’t been in years, yet now I find myself questioning why. On top of all the confusion with the order, there was also confusion with the tickets, bc we had to wait to get them correct, my first ticket had the drink order on it, which was never served, and the 2nd had fries on the order, which wasn’t ordered, and the 3rd was finally corrected.

Suggested solution:

I just hate I wasted my time and money on an establishment which truly didn\'t appreciate us, yet accepted us for our money. Nobody should feel like that in a paid business,and no business should make its customers feel that way equally. Everyone should be retrained and know that communication goes a long way.
