My complaint:
Having eaten at Subway for years, it’s with great sadness I will not be returning. Your choice of a spokesperson who refuses to stand and honor our flag during the national anthem is repulsive. Choices like hiring this spokesperson is destroying our younger generation. Those of us who know and love this grace at country will not stand for decisions such as this one.
I understand that freedom of speech is a constitutional right for all people. Kneeling at any other separate time to protest an issue you hold dear is fine, but to disgrace our country by kneeling during the playing of the National Anthem will not be one I ever choose to accept. This country is only free because of the dedicated men and women who serve our country under that flag. We should be teaching our young that peacefully protesting to draw attention to a problem in our society is right and just, but to disgrace our flag is not. We should be proud of her, stand when our Anthem plays and show reverence to that flag and respect to the people who protect that flag and the freedoms afforded us today.
