My complaint:
I have had a horrible experience dealing with Sleep Number. The bed was purchased at a store in Garland Texas (Firewheel location). We decided on a CAl King because the salesman suggested it because of my husband’s height (he was not with me). I did not know that the Cal King was not as wide as the king bed but he told me it was longer and would work best for my huband since he was 6 foot 3. After the bed was delivered it had a stain on the mattress. The delivery men called it in they said they would send out a new mattress cover. Came in a box and I guess I was expected to put this on somehow. Then after sleeping in the bed for 3 days we realized we could not sleep comfortably because the bed is too narrow. We called the store and they said we had to deal with Customer Service for an exchange on size. They were not nice and told us there were no returns (even though we had only had the bed for one week. They told us ONLY THE MATTRESS could be exchanged. Well, you can’t use a king mattress on a cal king base or the furniture (bed frame) was not the right size at this point. But would not make an even exchange. Once we spent over 20 hours on the phone over the next four days with customer service they agreed to send out a king mattress and a king base. Told us we needed the king frame as well and were charging us a $750 restocking fee. We just bit the bullet and said okay. The king mattress was delivered along with the base and no furniture. So the delivery guys said we have no frame in our truck for you, it was never ordered by customer service. So now we have a king mattress, base and a cal king frame that does not fit out bed. I have called the store, talked with the manager, he tells me it’s up to Customer Service. I spent 2 hours on the phone with them again today and the lady hung up in my face. Told me I am stuck with the cal king frame and they won’t take it back. I will NEVER IN MY LIFE recommend Sleep Number to anyone I know. In fact, I will advise those who are interested in purchasing NOT TO PURCHASE. I have been given the run around, spent $11,000 on a bed and it’s half way put together because the frame does not fit what was delivered to my home today. Just unbelievable!!!!!!
Suggested solution:
They need to come get this cal king frame and bring me a king frame that fits the bed that I paid $11,000 for. At this point in the game I want them to come pick it all up!!! I have never been treated with such disrespect.
