My complaint:

Ordered Skip the Dishes this morning for breakfast. My apartment building has been having issues with the buzzer system, so I didn’t include my buzzer code in my order details. Upon arrival to my building with my order, the courier called my phone, asking for the buzzer code. I informed the courier that the system wasn’t working, and to wait for someone to let them in. They said there was no one around, so I said I would come down to meet them.

I put on shoes and ran down the stairs to the lobby to meet the courier, but to my surprise there was no one in the lobby upon my arrival. I waited a few moments to see if the courier was in their car or at the wrong building, and then the courier exited the elevator (without my order in their hands) and saw me. They said Oh, someone let me in. I delivered it.

So I go back to my apartment unit, and there is nothing at my door. I enter my unit and ask my roommates who are around if they brought in my order, and they said no. So then I try calling back the courier on the same number they called me from, but it’s a dummy number that is only usable during the order period, and the courier already said the order was delivered.

As I go through customer service to see if they can get in touch with the courier and find out what unit they delivered my food to, the customer service rep says they can’t get in touch with courier, how do I want my refund?

How can a company-paid courier screw up steps from my door? This is ridiculous. And the only thing Skip can do is offer a refund either in the form of payment that can take x-business days or Skip credits. Oh, and say We’ll coach the courier about future orders, etc. etc. They can’t get in touch with the courier so that’s it. For all I know the courier snuck into the stairwell of my building and scarfed down my food, and said they left it at my door. Then became unreachable by Skip so there’s no harm nor foul with the courier.

I will NEVER be ordering from Skip again.

Suggested solution:

TRAIN YOUR COURIERS! The number of times my order ends up at the wrong building, and now the wrong unit in the right building, is ridiculous. Not to mention the time wasted having to reorder the same order I just waited x amount of minutes to be incorrectly delivered to the wrong place, and have to wait AGAIN for the order to come to the right place (fingers crossed) is never compensated. This experience shouldn't happen to someone else. Fire this courier, compensate me for my time wasted (and not just as a refund for the money of the order I placed, but also for the time I spent going downstairs for my order, coming back up, and on the line with customer service).
