My complaint:
I often shop at this Shaws purely out of convenience, nothing else. This week I stopped in to purchase so needed items I had forgotten from another Shaws in Bath ME. I needed some cheese, it was almost 5:30 (5:26 actually) and I stood at the counter while 2 employees were talking behind the counter. I interrupted by asking if I could get some cheese, and was told the deli was closed! Really at a time that many stop to shop for a few items. I was told to go look in the precut bin. No thanks!
I was in the checkout line and finally got to the register, my total was around $ 40.00 and the credit card machine would not take my phone number. They told me this machine was not issuing receipts. What I always get a paper slip, a supervisor told me to go on line to get a receipt. No I use it for gas and I wanted verification. Told I was out of luck. This store needs new employees and a complete redo!!!!
Suggested solution:
A change of attitude by employees, keeping the Deli open until the typical rush at 5-6 PM is over.
Update equipment so I am able to get a receipt. Don\'t tell customers they are out of luck, and go on line to get my information on my purchase.
