My complaint:

Yesterday August 30, 2023 I got a notice from my bank that my check to Regions cleared. I went onto the app to check my account. I opened this account as a saving for my safety deposit box to take the money out yearly and I wanted to maintain at least 100 dollars in there since the box is 89 a year. So I went to check my account and I could not sign in and I was told to call the bank I did. When I called the bank Iwas told my account was closed and was done by the manager at my branch. There was no further information given. I called my branch they were very rude on the phone and i gave my information and would not give any information as to why my account was closed. I lost my temper and finally the person named Jose said I will have the manager call me. I went and did research and saw that Regions Bank has a reputation of doing this. I called the

bank back and told them I was coming in today and closing my safety deposit box. If a bank is going to treat me with disrespect, I am not going to give them my business. I went to day to empty out my safety deposit box. After I did the gen z attendant, and the manager gave me a difficult time they wanted me to pay them for the box. I told them I am not giving them a penny I cursed them out and I signed the paper that was their left the keys and left the bank. Never in my life and I am 51 years old has a financial institution treated me with such disrespect. I had problem with Regions before and I closed all my accounts with them I still had my safety deposit box there only because of the location of the bank in the Financial district The company as a whole is very unprofessional the banking system at that bank does not respect its customers they close accounts never has this happened at any other institution whether itis a small amount is not the banks business i only had that account for the box. I am not paying them a penny the banks has the keys I am done with this financial institution and- I will sue for harassment and mental anguish for what the bank did to me. This bank does not care about customers just to make money and do not care whether you stay or go. The world has changed and not for the better companies are selfish they hire kids who do not know first off what customer service is nor do they care to hire truly professional people. The banking industry is not what it once was a place of respect and dignity.
