My complaint:

My wife and I checked into the Country Inn and Suites in Queensbury, N.Y. on June 25, 2022. The shower tubing connecting the water source to the shower head broke immediately while I was taking a shower. It appeared that the shower mechanism was shoddy, as the tubing was made of rubber. I called down to the front desk to report the problem. An assistant clerk answered the phone and stated she would bring up extra towels, as the bathroom had become flooded. The assistant did not offer an apology for the inconvenience.. A few minutes later, I spoke to the manager, Alysha (not sure of the spelling).

She informed me that maintenance would repair the shower. Again, I received no apology for the inconvenience. Also, I mentioned to the manager that I was a Radisson Choice Privileges member. For some unknown reason, this manager doubted my membership, as she babbled something about booking.com. I can’t imagine how this manager could somehow benefit by doubting I was a Radisson member. Later, as my wife and I were departing for dinner, we stopped by the front desk. I voiced my complaint about the unsatisfactory customer service. The young assistant clerk proceeded to apologize, mentioning she was new at the hotel. To my surprise, the manager told her assistant, There’s no need to apologize. My wife and I couldn’t believe what we just heard. In addition, we reported our sink was not draining properly. Also, our key entry did not work properly. At one point, we were unable to enter our room. The manager indicated she would inform maintenance.

The maintenance worker arrived shortly after, but it took 15 minutes to finally resolve the key entry problem. The maintenance worker apologized to my wife and I three times, which was in stark contrast to the manager’s lack of courtesy. My wife and I plan to return to the Lake George area. However, we definitely won’t be staying at the Country Inn and Suites in Queensbury, N.Y.. This complaint was filed through the website Complain.biz

Suggested solution:

The manager needs to demonstrate basic courtesy to the guests. Clearly, the manager should not be instructing her staff to refuse extending courtesy to guests. This hotel should not be using sub-standard materials in the shower or anywhere else.
