My complaint:

My dad was interested in purchasing a ez up canopy that was on display and was told they didn’t have any in stock but if he wanted the display “he could take it down himself cause I’m not doing it”. My dad is disabled so he waited till later when I could help him. A couple hours later we walk in and we’re greeted with “we’re closing in 15 minutes so you’re gonna have to hurry and get what you need”, very hateful by the cashier.
We explain what he was told about the canopy and they were all very rude, telling us not to touch until the assistant manager Amanda came up. We waited on Amanda for awhile, after she decided to come out she came up being very rude and short with my dad, so I stepped in and asked her name and position, then she starts to get loud with me and berated me in front of the customers. I asked my dad to go because this was horrible customer service and she decided to tell me off.
This was an absolutely horrible experience with Ollie’s and is unacceptable. The assistant manager Amanda does not need a job in retail or customer service, let alone being a manager to represent the store.

Suggested solution:

Amanda should be fired on the spot. She does not have the temperament for customer service. Horrible service is one thing, but she berated me in front of the whole store, being very rude and calling me names. And she told me I was the one being aggressive towards her, the only thing I actually said to her was asking her name and position, apparently that threatened her? We will not return to this store as long as she works there.
