My complaint:

I have the habit of saying “hej” to the cashier, it adds some humanity to their work, which can be many times boring and impersonal… I do it for them, not for me, I like to mind my own business just as much as the next person.
But this time, when I said “hej”, the person in the cashier said nothing… I’ve done this hundreds of times of course so I know to make myself hear loud and clear.
When it came the time to pay, the cashier said the total to pay and I said: “ok, Hej again…”. The employee in question did not say a word and banged on the machine 3 times as to say “pay and get going”…
Well, I obviously didn’t appreciate the behavior and said “ok, you don’t have to be so rude about it.”
I payed and she continued serving the following customer while I was packing my groceries in the bag. I thought this was a little too unacceptable, and because I’ve seen instances where older people being mistreated by cashiers in this store I thought that I should probably complain otherwise this kind of behavior is going to continue and can only get worse. So I told them, “by the way, I don’t think you did you a good service and I’d like to complain, could I have your name please? And they arrogantly said “we don’t give names”, and pretended it was nothing with them and continued passing products through the scanner.

I insisted: “I am a customer and I have the right to know who served me so I can complain”. They insisted they were not going to tell me her name.
I say that she can then call her manager…
Another employee on the next cashier was listening and asked what was going on and I asked him, “are you possibly the manager?” He replied “yes”. I said “Great, your colleague was rude and I would like to know their name so I can make a complain.”
He said we dont give names and asked me around 10 times what had happened.
I said that she had been rude and that he could read the detailed description of the episode on my complain, if he would just give me their name.
He continued replying saying “We do not have to give you names” and this conversation went back and forward until I said they were required by law to identify themselves as service providers that they were. Then he mumbled his name, I did not quite understand but something like ””””, and then asked the first colleague their name. The colleague very upsettingly said they were called ”””””””””’… They said it in different ways and I am not sure how to write it. Then they admitted they had been rude and said: “I am sorry, we are just very busy”. And I said: “Well, being rude to your customers is obviously not making things any smoother or faster”.

As for the self-entitled manager, I asked him to repeat his name so that I could write it on my phone and he said he would not repeat it. I insisted saying that this was very serious, besides being badly treated as a customer, that the store was being run by an anonymous person who would not identify himself. To this, he aggressively got up from his chair and shouted in front of everyone “get out of my store, I don’t want you in my store!” For a second I was concerned that he would try to touch me or something and I said “Do not come near me or I will call the police!” He stopped coming in my direction but continued telling me to get out of his store. I was appalled with the situation and didn’t know what to say, so I just told him I might call the police to get his identification because this incident had to be reported.
Just to be clear, aren’t your employees required to identify themselves to customers who want to make a complain?
And, are cashiers not supposed to greet customers with a simple “hej” when our turn to be served arrives?

In case you are wondering why business is going bad and why your reviews are so low, I have a tip: you have rude unexperienced people running your stores like if it were their stores.

All your organization’s work, marketing, this and that… all this work is ruined everyday by the people you leave alone in your stores.

I had been spending around 5000 kr a month on this specific Netto for the past half year just because it was more convenient, and I can assure you that it is 5000 kr less of business you will have because of your inability to hire and train well your employees.

Suggested solution:

They should appologize for the continuous bad treatment, if not the workers themselves then someone in their behalf, make sure the employees get proper training, and have the staff wear badges identifying themselves.
