My complaint:

Dear Netflix,

I recently watched your original film Work It and enjoyed most of it very much. I really love dance movies and am grateful you have been adding them to your collection.

However, one scene greatly disappointed and upset me. It was the scene where the main character prays to “Queen Beyoncé” the night before her dance competition. It was honestly very hard for me to watch.

As a Christian who values prayer, I found this very offensive, and I believe those of other faiths may as well. In my life, I have witnessed Jesus answer many of my prayers, including being healed of a brain tumor and overcoming generational poverty.

For me, prayer is a special gift from God designated for the One True God.
It is through praying to Jesus that we receive eternal life, which starts here on earth and lasts into eternity, and it is prayer that has gotten me through many difficult times in my life.

I am writing to ask that you would please consider the faith of your customers and be considerately mindful of what you include in your original movies, documentaries, and series as well as the outside movies, documentaries, and series you include.

Thank you for your time.
I hope you have a blessed day.

In Christ’s love,
Nicole Stevens, Netflix customer
