My complaint:
Chris Rock was doing a personal commentary on the upcoming 2008 Presidential election. He said, something to the effect of Some people ask if America is ready for a Black president, why not, we’ve already had a RETARDED president. Chris definitely used the word retarded. As a retired occupational therapist who worked with clients having developmental delays, I can tell you that terms RetardRetarded are grossly inappropriate. These words are perjoratives. They sadly malign cognitively impaired persons who have done nothing wrong.
Suggested solution:
If this episode airs again, this line needs to be editted out, or Chris Rock needs to apologize for his poor word choice when this episode airs. BTW, I'm a big fan of Chris', he just made a mistake.
