My complaint:
1. News coverage for over a week has been 100% on the George Floyd murder. I agree it deserves coverage and the 4 officers should be charged with murder. What happened to COVID19 coverage. Millions of us are still in isolation, not working, working from home, not going to church, restaurants still on take out only, all depending on news to guide us.
2. Most people are now watching news for COVID19 guidance and have seen President Trumps addresses. Why is the news cutting and pasting what he says to create their own version? .This morning the news said Trump is violating our constitutional rights by sending in troops to stop the burning of cars and buildings, looting, etc. He said he is an ally of peaceful protestors, not criminals. What about the constitutional rights of the business owners. We’ve gotten so liberal they don’t have rights over these criminals. Are we saying the constitution says we have rights to destroy property and kill as a way to have freedom of speach?
3. The news is what has caused all the horrible rioting. The news can’t tell the truth, they sensationalize. The news has accentuated racism. An educated, hard working people knows there are just as many blacks, middle eastern, west india, mexican people working in every career in this country as white. We had a black president whom I voted for. As for slavery, it didn’t just exist with black, it has existed and still exists with every nationality including white. Say that on the news.
Suggested solution:
1. More coverage on COVID19 and guidance.
2. Do not create Fake News by manipulating President Trumps or anyone elses words.
We want the full story, all sides.
3.Why has news turned into a National Enquirer. People who want trash news are trash thinking people. Why can't the news give the correct news and both sides. No cutting or pasting or words.
