My complaint:

They only have one person who can schedule visitation and I completely understand that, but when she is sick or out they just don’t have visitation for the inmates. It was canceled this past weekend because of the weather and again I understand that, but today I call for hours and by the way the number still says payroll dept. and I finally was told by the wardens secretary that she had not yet made it in. This is wrong and from what I have looked a violation of only a few rights that these men have. Back in November she went on vacation and again only the people who scheduled the week prior were allowed visits. If you did not call for a visit a week in advance you were left out for another week. When I am on vacation there is always someone who can cover my position with my company and there should be someone there as well.

While I am on this site I would also like to complain about the food and portions. You should have to follow the recommended calorie intake for men. My brother was told by a person in the cafeteria that the reason they could no longer have chicken or other items were because the women guards were stealing it to take home to their families. If I am not mistaken them that is a CRIME. They should be promoted to inmates and be allowed to eat the small portions that the men are eating.

I 100% agree that these are inmates and lose their rights, but I also know they are humans and should therefore be treated as such.

Suggested solution:

Train a replacement person to book visits and also investigate the food services department. Go for lunch or dinner one time and eat with the inmates. Unannounced Please.
