My complaint:

To Whom It May Concern

Dear SirMadam,

My daughter with her family board a flight to Malaysia via Scoot Airline last Friday, 9th Dec 2022.
In a hurry as they were rushing to board the plane which suppose to take off at 1.30pm to Singapore, my daughter forgot to collect her hand carry bag at the final security baggage scanner.

My daughter called me from the Singapore Airport during their 1 hour transit to board Malaysia flight to inform that she left her hand carry bag at the security baggage scanner. I immediately contacted Melbourne Airport to check but was informed to call Lost Found Department on Monday-12th Dec as its after office hours and following Saturday Sunday is a off day.

Summary:
– I contacted the Lost Found Department first thing on Monday (12.12.2022) morning to inform them and to check if my daughter’s bag is there. But an officer by the name of Esha ( not sure the spelling) informed me to call back as she said the relevant department might not have send the bagsitems to their department as yet. I called twice on the same day again in the afternoon but was informed no such bag is there yet.

– Called again the next day – 13th Dec 2022 morning and was informed the same.
Lodged a online Lost Property submission with full details of the lost items with images and was given a Reference no – V2045522 as Loss report successfully submitted.
Called again in the afternoon with the Reference number to check and to my disapointment, i was informed the same – No such bag is there as yet and to call back to check

– Called numerous time again on 14th Dec 2022 morning, but no one pick up and went to voice message. Then i tried calling again in the afternoon and was informed the same No such bag is there in their office as yet and told me to wait for an email reply

– Today is the 15th Dec 2022 (Thursday) and i called again in the morning but no one pick up the line and was going on voice mail. At the same time, i received an email from the Airport informing
So far, no item matching your lost item report has been handed over to our Lost Found office

I am very very dissapointed as tomorrow – 16th Dec 2022 ( Friday) will be excatly one(1) week since the incident happened and i had been frantically calling your Airport ( Lost Found Dept) to look for the lost bag but no one seems to be helping me out.
Australia Airport is such a well known international Airport and i believe there is CCTV everywhere and services whereby if a passenger accidently left their bags or items, everyone should handover the found bagitems to the LOST FOUND OFFICE on the same day, the next day or subsequently the following day or a day after. But it is ridiculous to take 1 week or more for any bags or items to be hand over to the LOST FOUND OFFICE !!!
I wonder as to why it is taking so long to process the hand over ??
I am worried what if they keep dragging this matter and at the end,the REPLY will be NOT FOUND !

My daughter’s office handphone is there in the bag and she needs it back urgently as all the office information is in the handphone.
She left a light purple BESS LESS hand carry Non-Woven Bag Custom Printed Logo Shopping Bag. And all this items were inside this bag in a K’MART white Canvas Tote bag with Green leaf image :
1. Vivo X21 ( My Daughter’s office phone) Spiderman cover
2. 1 iphone ear phone, 1 ear bud – Jabra Brand and 1 normal ear phone (All in a pink pouch bag)
3. 1 Sunglass
4. Souveniers – Fridge magnets ( more than 20pcs) key chains
5. House Key
6. Neck Pillow
7. Metal Water Bottle
8. Few Lindt Gift Chocolates Packets ( in Gold Pink Color) Froggie Cadbury Chocolates
9. Perishable – In two (2) transparentr fried noodles Croissants (2) Empty Barista Choc Bottles (2) Empty Barista Coffee (2) Empty Sprite Bottle

I hope you will take importance on my explanation and will do the necessary action to expediate and assist me by viewing the CCTVS at the Final Security Baggage Scanner and locate my daughter’s lost bag.

Looking forward to hear from you ASAP !
Your kind assistance is very much appreciated.

Thank you with Regards,
Jay
