Mel And Rose complaint: refusal to correct delivery of wrong item

My complaint:

MY SON AND I Ordered a bottle of Poire Williams for my 88 year old father for Christmas and for 69th anniversary. They sent the wrong itemApple (Pomme)…. we have been trying to get this corrected. They want us to send back the item and then they will send the correct item. This bottle was $69.99 cost $44.95 to ship. After at least 3 calls, they said they would send the replacement, and sent me a tracking number for delivery tomorrow. This was a fake number as they have not yet sent the item and it is not on its way. If I send the delivered wrong bottle back, then I have nothing. I have made at least 8 calls to them, they will not allow me to talk, they have hung up numerous times before I can even talk, and now I am boiling angry. Whatever happened to service and the customer is always right?

Suggested solution:

I think They should ship the correct item to arrive on Friday Dec 20th. I was more than happy to send the bottle back once the replacement was on its way. since the delivery date was supposed to be tomorrow, The fed ex driver can exchange packages and get the original package back when he delivers the correct one. I also would like an apology for the way these people have treated me but I doubt that would happen.
