My complaint:
A crew member had told the GM that I was acting inappropriately towards him on a day I pulled him aside to talk about his unnecessary behavior towards me. He claims that I was being personal with him. I’ve worked here for 4 years and I honestly don’t trust anyone there because of rumors and lies that happen all the time. I’m embarrassed of him going around and telling everyone what happened. The supervisor came to me and suspended me for this. When I found out that this crew member had potentially went through my personal belongings I was disappointed. Because I don’t want him talking to me and act like everything is ok. I told my general manager to make sure that he wasn’t there when my boyfriend the overnighter came in because he’s been very angry-the supervisor didn’t let me finish my sentence and threatened my boyfriends job and mine. He wasn’t angry with the crew person he was angry at the company. And is very upset with seeing me in a depressed state. The environment there is very stressful because the kids make racist remarks and inappropriate comments towards each other. And the higher ups let it slide. The worse part is that they get away with anything that is wrong and clearly unprofessional. Such as taking home food unpaid for, going to have a cigarette while still on the clock, letting some of the crew have their phones on them, and leaving their shift early without punching out.
Suggested solution:
The company should listen to the ones who have been targeted by others. The company should investigate the situations that made good workers leave. And the unreasonable terminations they’ve had in the past.
