My complaint:

On Sunday, 14 November 2021, at 5:02 p.m. I entered the lobby of the McDonalds located at 834 Thornton Road Lithia Springs, Georgia 30122.

I am a government employee who was on duty working and wanted to get a to go order and did not have the time to sit in the driver through. When I went in to the lobby there were three (03) other customers were standing in the lobby. A young African American female (who’s name I did not see or obtain) was behind the counter talking to a African American male who was also behind the counter. The male walked away toward the back of the restaurant where the food is prepared and I heard the young female say that the male had better have some one come to the counter.

The female then looked at me but said nothing. I approached the counter and said I wanted to get a to go order. The young female did not say anything but just point toward the lobby behind me. I turned around and observed two (02) kiosk for ordering food and that there was a person at each of the kiosk, I assume making a food order.

First I found the attitude and the action of the young female to be unprofessional.

Second I would like to know when it became a policy or practice of McDonald’s employee’s not to take food order’s at the lobby counter and require food orders to be placed at a kiosk,

And just for informational purpose I am aware of the functions of the kiosk and know that I can pay for a food order using debit or credit cards. In this case however I did not have a debit or credit card on my person, I only had cash and I did not have the time to wait in line at the kiosk to place a order that I could have verbally placed in probably less time than it would have taken to enter it at the kiosk.

Suggested solution:

The employee's at this particular restaurant, or at least the young female need to be reminded of courtesy and professionalism toward patrons (or additional customer service training)

Secondly Is it policy or practice of McDonald's that food order's inside the restaurant have to be made at the kiosk instead of at the counter to a employee, because if this is the policy or practice then I apologize for not knowing it before I entered the restaurant.
