Check the account and settings screens in the app and on lexulous.com first, because platforms that run video ads usually offer a subscription or an upgrade that removes them, and that option is often easier to find in a browser than inside the app.

If ads keep playing after you take that option, or an ad hangs and holds you for the full thirty seconds with no way to close it, that is a bug worth reporting rather than something to put up with. A mute in a game lobby usually comes from an automatic filter or from a report by another player, and it is often temporary. Read the chat guidelines on the site first, then ask support directly what triggered it, how long it lasts and which message caused it: a mute for language is handled differently than a restriction placed after a report. Quote your user name and the time you noticed it. Chat muted by an automatic filter and no way to see what set it off? Where you cancel depends on where you signed up. A subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play is managed and cancelled in your account with that store rather than inside the game, and a refund for such a purchase is requested from the store as well, usually within a short window after the charge. If you subscribed on the website itself, cancel in your account settings there and ask admin@lexulous.com for written confirmation.

Take a screenshot of the cancellation and check the next billing date afterwards. A cancellation that was never confirmed is the single most common reason people find a second charge on their statement.
