My complaint:

In regards to trying to get a response from the council, and when having done a few times they responses were very vague and inconsiderate. I have numerous emails to the council to get a response. I spoke on the phone with Tony Lickiss to only get another vague response, he said that it would obstruct the landscapes/ scenery to out signs in, totally disregarding the safety of the request.

There is a preschool, store/cafe/ post office, school bustop in the area. and a lot of resident houses close to the roads all through cawongla. I have already retrieved a neighbours deceased animal due to the reckless driving of some people passing through cawongla. I also have an autistic son who has no road sense and that of course frightens me. If the roads, and town were signed more/ correctly, it would reduce the discrepancy and make cawongla safe.

The road works are now coming to completion after nearly 2 years and the new lines for the overtaking lane have been marked and finailised as to now which what looks like a race track. I have evidence of the roads previously with the broken line for overtaking. the marking were further down the road towards the 80km zone, now since the request of signs and speed enforcement, numerous conversations on the phone, with the nsw police to hear nothing, and now the overtaking broken lines have been extended at least 20m up the road in front of the houses and the PRESCHOOL and the store.

I have expressed the dangers of the roads prior to this and now it is more unsafe then it was before. it seems like a personal matter now regarding the decision made on behalf of the council, or Tony Lickiss or Mark Shintler. on behalf of Cawongla, people are willing to go ahead with a petition and anything else we need to do to be heard and respected! after calling numerous times to get a response from my emails alone even the staff were excused that i still hadnt received a response.

The negligence was already getting me down and then when i finally had the phone conversations to be shut down and spoken to like that was horrifying. i have proof off all emails and phone call dates and times. i also have photo evidence and video evidence of the roads now and prior to the completed line work, and footage of someone overtaking in the 50km zone up to 70-80kms still within the 50s zone. I have all the evidence and reasons for the request. I would like the roads to be returned as they were, the broken line to be removed from the 50km zone, and an apology to cawongla.

Suggested solution:

I would like the roads to be returned as they were, the broken line to be removed from the 50km zone, and an apology to cawongla.
