My complaint:

I went to Jewel to buy the oranges that were in your sale paper. That location was out of the oranges. I went to the service desk to get a rain check. Two closed signs were posted. I asked an employee if I could get a rain check. She went and asked somebody. Came back and proceeded to write the rain check. She didn’t give me the rain check after she finished writing it. The person she had asked now came over to tell me no rain check without my phone to prove I clipped it. I brought my mask to buy the oranges. I didn’t know Jewel’s policy was to bring my cell phone too. She told me in no uncertain terms, no rain check without my phone. I was told to go home and get my phone and come back, she’ll be there until midnight. Park Ridge Jewel has an I pad they use if there’s an issue with your phone number for the specials. The location I was at said they don’t have anything to help resolve this for their customers. I’m 68 years old. I’m going to drive home and get my phone and go back for 99 cent oranges? Would you expect your mother to do this?

Suggested solution:

They should of tried to resolve this more professionally. They should of been nicer and more accommodating. Not rude, and ignorant. I was asking for a rain check, without my cell phone. Evidently that’s not acceptable at that Jewel.
