My complaint:
EIP2 payment calculation. IRS states to use AGI from 2019 tax return to calculate EIP2 payment. The H R Block on-line program uses the 2020 AGI. This has created a $1200 error in my 2020 tax return. Called H R Block customer service and spoke with Cortney M. who was no help at all; said I should contact a tax professional for help.
Suggested solution:
Correct EIP2 calculation on on-line program. Help me with filing an amended return. Refund the money I spent for their program. The letter I received from the IRS states to use the 2019 AGI when calculating EIP2 payment (Notice number 1444-B, Catalog number 74703A.
