My complaint:

Electronic tax file in 2018, letter from IRS in Nov.2o2o, went to H and R block and a Peace of Mind claim was sent on Nov. 21,2020: I paid the amount in the IRS letter ($8280): The claim was sent :Nov. 24. 2020 I received email of receipt and it would take -6 weeks to review.
H and R Block tax prepared, AAron Zonana, had did not add my NYCTR pension income on thetax rom but did add the taxes I paid.. I have worked with Arron for nine years and trusted him as he knew my visual situation and could not see what he was doing so I always took the Peace of mind Plan. Aaron passed away in May of 2020. Royston Hercules filed the clam for me and explained the mistake.
8 weeks later, Jan. 20, 2021, I called the claims department and left a message as to the disposition of the claim: no callback: , Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 I received from H and R Block’s claims department saying it was denied. It said I should read the Peace of Mind and clients agreement, The File T01246699 was included.
Then the emails, which I have, began. Their final determination was I had signed a worksheet and so the Peace of Mind plan, I was not told that signing anything would nullify the Plan. Aaron would have told me because I am blind and cannot see normal or fine print.
I told the complaint department I would file a complaint and the emails stopped .

Suggested solution:

I always buy the Peace of Mind plan because I do not see very much, cannot read print or fill out forms uhless they are magnified 12 to 15 time. I trusted Aaron to do the tax filing correctly. He made a mistake, failing to add My pension income. The Peace of mind plan is supposed to protect from errors made by the tax preparer from H and R Block.
I paid for the protection and I should be reimbursed the six thousand dollars covered by the plan and refunded the interest and penalties.

I should be reimbursed. The error was theirs.
