HomeTowne Studios complaint: No room available but they billed my credit card anyway

My complaint:

We arrived and checked in. The room that they tried to give us was filthy. The floor had lots of dirt on it and the bed was not properly made. The cleaning staff was using that room as the nursery for their kids during the day while they are working. There was half eaten carton of ice cream in the and leftover chicken in the fridge. We went back to the office and told the clerk that the room was not acceptable. There were no other rooms that were available. The clerk processed a refund, gave us a receipt with the refund on it. We then had to find another hotel. A few days later, the room charges and the security deposit showed up on my credit card. We are now fighting to get the charges taken off.

Suggested solution:

Remove the charges from my credit card
