My complaint:

I know several ADA violations have occurred the morning of 3 June, 2023 at approximately 7:10 in the morning. I also know that the wonderful front desk employees, who normally help me with my handicap, assisted me to desk registration and to my room by wheelchair on June 2 2023. Their names were Chris and Michael. They have helped me on 12 stays at this particular Hampton Inn.
Incident began when I called front desk to ask for assistance by wheelchair. Man answered phone at front desk saying he was off du ty and unavailable to help me. He also said other desk clerk was alone and could not assist me when I asked when someone would be available he had no answer. , which angered me, .I proceeded tong walk to front desk with by my walker. When I got to desk, he was chatting with on duty female clerk. I asked him why hadnt he left since he was off duty. He exclaimed that THEY (Hotel) WERE NOT CARE PROVIDERS, I read that as meaning THEY WERE NOT SENIOR CARE PROVIDERS. after he said that I was livid and used a swear word to describe him. Female desk clerk disciplined me for language and it was against hotel policy for any customer to use foul language on employees., but she did NOT discipline Jose for his derogatory comment. Jose the Night Desk Clerk was OFF DUTY. More to follow but not enough space

Suggested solution:

I was also asking breakfast bar staff to help me with gathering my breakfast and I was told to go back to front desk for any questions on service. She was obviously directed by front desk clerk to do this. This Saturday desk staff was horrendous and insulting to me. To add insult to injury, I was eating breakfastI, when the Female desk clerk engaged me and directed me NOT to return to their location and I would No longer be welcome. The lady who worked at the breakfast bar was definitely overworked. and she has been very helpful in the past. This particular front desk staff.was outrageous and rude. Since this is only time I have been treated this bad, and Michael and Chris have been over the top nice for service to accomodate my handicap. Management met with me to explain that swearing was unacceptable, and they supported me NEVER coming back. When I mentioned there was always good service in the past,. they also said Jose would be talked to, but couldnt be discussed due to privacy?. I have never met or seen this female desk clerk until Jun 3. I do feel I was discriminated against as a Senior citizen and a Handicapped person by this staff.
