My complaint:
The Callipo Tuna was advertized for $3.88 in the flyer from July 27th – Aug. 02. 2023. The cashier charged $6.99 for each of the 4 items that was presented. I reminded the cashier of the flyer. She stated that that item was not appljcable to her store and that I should find the address of the store that honored the price, and that it was on the flyer.I advised her that the location was not on the flyer, as there has always been 1 flyer for Food Basics.. I then called the store and was given the same narrative. The flyer explicitly states that the price as per advertizement takes precedence over everything else. I wasted my time going to the store and I did not purchase the item.
Suggested solution:
Food Basics shoud honor the price as per advertisement as this is the policy that is explicitly stated and that it takes precedence over everything else.
