My complaint:
As I entered the store I asked the store associate was there a restroom and she responded very negatively as she told me that there was not a public facility . So then I proceeded to locate the items I needed. I paid $3.30 for tire spray foam cleaner. The store associate seemed to be agitated about something as placed my items in the bag unsecurely. I took about 3 steps out the exit and the spray can fell out of the bag and the nozzle broke. I went right back inside and explained how she carelessly and recklessly placed my items in the bag. I told her I didn’t want a refund but I wanted to exchange the item. She responded by telling me it was my fault and she couldn’t help me as a dissatisfied customer. It was the manner in which told me with a very negative attitude…your not gonna get anything, get out the store I’m calling the police in the direct precise order or sequence. She embellished and exaggerated the whole time she was on the phone with 911 dispatch. She falsely stated that I was combative and confrontational. I decided to wait on law enforcement.
They showed up just as my receipt was blowing away due to the windy conditions. I was very traumatized by the entire incident which she initiated. The police were actually going to detain me for no apparent reason at all.
I need to hear from with a representative immediately.
This occurred Apr. 29, 2021 in the 9AM hrs.
I had to unnecessarily explain to the police that I am a navy veteran and that my family works for the Birmingham police just so they wouldn’t become physical towards me.
The way that this young lady handled me as a customer…I had to tell myself that this cannot be normal protocol for customer service.
Suggested solution:
I want her reprimanded in some form or fashion and an apology. I'm still out of the product that I purchased. I want a representative to arrange some type visit and to come view the camera footage from that very agonizing ordeal. I thinking of getting a lawyer
