My complaint:

On 9272020, at approximately 1:00 a.m. a Dominos delivery driver was observed driving at a carelessly high rate of speed through our parking lot. Security was patrolling the lot at the time and approached the driver’s vehicle. During the initial contact with the driver, security very calmly and respectfully asked the driver to slow down a little when coming through our lot. The driver was immediately aggressive and responded disrespectfully claiming he was not driving that fast. During the brief conversation, the driver got out of his vehicle, hitting security with his driver door and marched his way into the hotel. During the incident, the driver was told that if he was not going to drive safely and have acceptable conduct while on hotel property, t hat we would not assist him in his delivery and if his conduct continued the police would be called. The front desk refused to assist the driver, so the driver dropped his delivery at the front desk and left describing security personnel as a rent-a-cop. What’s pertinent in this matter is that the hotel was hosting the River Road Rally and literally had millions of dollars worth of very expensive cars in their lot. Security is not rented but in fact on the hotel payroll and was making sure that these vehicles were kept safe.

In the 10 years of security service, my employee said that he had never experienced a more disrespectful interaction as with this individual. According to the delivery slip, the drivers name is Luke Langreck. Security attempted to reach out to management at the Dominos location with originated the delivery but the store had closed and the phones went to voicemail. We believe the location is 112 E 2nd Street, Duluth MN 55805.

Suggested solution:

Personally as a General Manager, I think Luke Langreck should be terminated as he is not a good representative of your pizza chain. At the very least, a pizza should be sent to Randy Bender, Hotel Security when he works on a Friday or Saturday night.
