My complaint:

I went to Currys at Teesside Park to buy a vacuum cleaner on 21st November 2022. The salesperson made a mistake by charging me twice – the item was £99.99 but I was charged £199.98. The salesperson reported this to the returnrefund team and told me they would return my money in the form of gift card credits between 3 and 5 days.

I checked the gift card credits on 29th November 2022 but the return had not been made, so I went back to the store and the salesperson asked me to call the online team, who would be able to resolve the issue for me. I followed the instructions to call the online team and found out that the request was rejected with no reason recorded in the system. I then went back to the store and argued with them. A lady was trying to help by calling the online sales team. The same answer was provided to me this time, i.e., just wait for 3 to 5 days.

I checked the credits on 6th December 2022 but was very disappointed that the issue has not been resolved. I called the online sales team again and spoke with three staff. There was no manager I can discuss my issue with. The response I received was there was nothing they could do other than get me waiting. I asked them how many 3 to 5 days will it take to get my credits back but they said they had no answer to my question.

Suggested solution:

Just deal with my issue - return my money as soon as possible, not keep me waiting, as this was the mistake they made.
