My complaint:

I’d gone to the office to see the nurse practitioner—Dustin—to establish patientDr relationship again (we’ve lived in NC for a year).
I have a 60 year history of back pain, having been born with spina bifida. I’ve had 4 surgeries, a spinal chord implant, and 4 ablations.
Shannon told me (after I had spoke with Mike) that Dustin would most likely not prescribe what the previous NP had prescribed— Oxycodone Acet 5-325, but I could come in.
My appointment was this morning.
I shared my concerns about my hearing, my balance, my foot neuropathy and THEN my back pain.
My husband asked for the reason this office would not still prescribe that medication — at which Dustin literary jumped back with his hands in the air, shouting, “Whoa, whoa! We talked about that!
I calmly asked when that happened since I had neither seen nor talked with him before.
I said, “You’re really touchy.”
He preceded to talk.
Neither my husband nor I raised our voices.
I left because I consider his behavior completely unnecessary, unacceptable, and unprofessional.

Suggested solution:

1. He should not have “been loaded for bear” when he came into the room
2. As I explained each of my concerns he should have compassionately address each one.
3. He should have calmly address my husband to answer his question.
4. NOW, I think this should be entered into his personnel file.
