My complaint:

After breaking my ankle on the aqua park I was shocked that the park does not appear to have any standard first aid procedures to deal with accidents, especially given I later found out that 2 other people had broken legs on the aqua park in the previous week and given the volume of water-based activities. There was no clear process on how to get someone with an injury off the aqua park, and when the first aider finally arrived from the main centre (15 minutes later), she was very unhelpful, and offered to drive me to my cottage and put ice on my ankle but couldn’t bring the wheelchair to me due to the rough sandy path. I had to insist on going to hospital as I knew I needed an Xray and was convinced something was broken. I was told I had to see a doctor first, she made the appointment and then gave us instructions on how to get there. Once seen we were told to go straight to hospital for an Xray, the hospital were amazing and ed very quickly that I had broken my ankle and need surgery to fit a metal plate and screws in to my leg. Once back out the next day, we had to organise our own wheelchair and buggy on the site and pay for them, there was very little way of a follow up other than for a Center parcs employee to file a quick report, where he were surprised, I had been in hospital as the first aider had logged it as a bruised ankle.
I am shocked and appalled at what poor first aid processes you appear to have on site, given the aqua park and water skiing, I expected much better from Centerparcs.

Suggested solution:

what processes will be put in place to improve their first aid response, and ensure if this was to happen again, families are looked after and offered additional help, rather than felt forgotten about and made to spend even more money on extra things that were only needed due to the accident.
There should also be a full health and safety briefing at the aqua park, and the life guards need training on how to deal with injured people.

My foot was caught in a dip between 2 joining floats, and this is why it broke. This needs to be fixed to prevent the same injury happening again.

offered compensation for a ruined holiday, for an accident which should not have happened, if full briefings were given, the aqua park didn't have the dip and people warned of the risks, as I would not have gone on if I knew of the high risk of injury.
