My complaint:
Catholic Health Initiatives, owner of Mercy Medical in Durango, CO, is a tax exempt, completely greedy organization. They use people as pawns for their true God – MONEY ! That is their true God. That and their shareholders money. A greedier bunch , you will not meet. At Mercy Medical Center, in Durango, CO , owned by CHI, promises all employee’s a company paid pension, besides their 401k match. All retirement accts are forcibly with no other option, carried with Fidelity. Or so the employee’s think. CHI claims they put yearly distributions into these pensions, and are credited by the government (they are already tax exempt) with $$ for having these employee pensions.
It can almost be a dollar to dollar credit $$ that CHI recieves for putting funds into these accts. In order to keep that $$, they must show that a small percentage of employee’s actually cash in these pensions. CHI has many ways to cheat the employee’s, steal the pensions back, and keep the funds they receive from the gov’t for pretending to offer employee’s pensions. My husband was told his pension was rolled over into a Traditional IRA with Fidelity. It actually was thrown into a Wells Fargo 0% money market in 2014, and the HR Director at MMC (CHI) had distribution checks sent to her, forged my husbands signature and went to our bank and cashed them. She cleaned out the pension within that year. Fidelity’s role then kicks in. They lied to us , from 2014 until 2021 (my husband retired in 2021), and told us that the pension IRA was safe and sound. Their agents told us every year that no tax form was needed because my husband didnt take any distributions.from his pension account.. They lied to us until my husband actually retired in 2021 , and he was trying to move the 401k (totally skimmed by Fidelity ) and his pensionIRA that Fidelity lied and told us was safe and sound for all these years.
All of a sudden he was told his pension was gone. We have been going rounds with them, CHI and MMC, ever since. Its been challenging due to the time that has passed. Fidelity is there to make sure time and space come between the employee and the truth. But the true criminal is CHI. This tax exempt , christian’ organization, is not happy with just paying zero taxes. They collect thousands and thousands $$ from the gov’t for employee pensions, then they keep those funds, and steal the pensions back. Quite the money making organization. MMC (chi) over charges patients, under pays employee’s, doesn’t pay a dime in taxes, then steals employee’s promised pensions back. They do not deserve to be tax exempt. Their website brags that CHI makes billions $$ for themselves and their shareholders, and that is about it. The HR director has kept some of the pensions for her own pocket also.
CHI is a greedy, selfish, lying, cheating and stealing organization. They use the christian thing to enrich themselves. They will not make this right, and stick to their greed. Not one person at the corporate office at CHI, has ever answered one phone call, or email, The HR Dept has referred us back to Fideltiy for a ride down the crazy train. Fidelity has put us on 2 to 3 hour holds, and agents seem suddenly incompetent: in their effort to try to make us just go away. We heard 30 different stories from 30 different agents. None of them true. The truth turned out to be that CHI never ever planned to give any employee any pension. They used the employee as a pawn in their game of money making, This comes before any christian values (which they do not carry).
The christian: claim is used to not pay any taxes. MMC (CHI) has closed down their HR Dept. because we were getting too close to the truth. They have stolen all remaining pensions, kept the funds from the gov’t and got the pension funds all back. Now when an employee figures out he really doesnt have a pension plan, and its been stolen, they have no one to assist them; The HR department destroyed ALL files and went on the run. This hospital , with almost 2k employee’s offers zero assistance to them. And CHI does all this lying, cheating and stealing in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. I hope this complaint finds it way to all personnel that need to see it. Hopefully CHI will lose their very undeserved tax exempt status. Our state could use those taxes for helping others. Instead of fattening the wallets of administration (and the HR Diirectors wallet). I bet they all have big fat pension plans.
Suggested solution:
Give my husband his earned pension. And give all other employees their pensions.
I rate my experience with CHI at a negative 28k. The amount CHI stole from my husband.
