My complaint:

On February 28th, 2020 funds were sent to me from another CashApp user in the amount of $710. The funds did not go through the app for several hours, so I decided to “refund” the amount, assuming that something went wrong (in the past, all transactions were always immediate). I assumed with refunding the amount, that we could just start the transaction over. CashApp swears that the refund was given back to the sender (we already sent out the $710 in car parts at this time). I have been communicating with the sender and countless times I have emailed CashApp “support”. The sender has also contacted CashApp support and their bank. CashApp then told us that the $710 was refunded to a card ending in 6735- which doesn’t exist for either party involved. Over the course of the last five months, I have sent over 100 emails to CashApp and always get a generic responses, never really addressing any of my questions or concerns. Then, recently, CashApp sent an email to me stating that they have done “everything” they can and can do no more. BUT, the funds have never been found! I have filed a police report and the sender of the funds has an investigation against CashApp through their bank. How can a company just “close a case” with a CUSTOMER when it was never resolved?!! This is EXTREMELY frustrating and I have spent countless hours trying to figure this out with the other party involved. CashApp refuses to help us. I am up in arms! They have even taken the option to email them off of their app for both the sender and myself! So, there is no way to contact them other than select an option that doesn’t apply to our situation. I have tried to contact them on FB and Twitter. The response on Twitter appeared to be fraudulent based on what they were saying.

I have all documentation of all emails to CashApp and texts between myself and the sender. I would include all proof to you, but there are way too many emails back and forth over the last five months- I wouldn’t know what to send you. I am happy to send anything you’d like for proof though.
