My complaint:

I purchased the ANKI overdrive kit at Target for a Christmas present for my son. Little did I know that the company was reported to be going out of business in April of 2019.

When we opened it this weekend because we couldn’t wait till Christmas:) We followed all the instructions, set up the track, put the cars on the charger and downloaded the app.

The instructions said it takes 10 minutes to charge but it was only a few minutes. We set it up on the track which is scans it. By far it is incredible on how it all works. Unfortunately it would only do 2 laps before it died. They are supposed to run 12 minutes before it needs recharging.

It was clear this was broken right out of the box. I cannot return it to Target because they pulled the one I bought out of inventory because they weren’t selling. If thing’s aren’t selling they pull them from the shelf and take them out of inventory. Then they donate them to Good Will. After so long the manager said I could buy it which retailed $120. I got it for $30. So luckily I didn’t lose out much but it is a bummer because I can’t do anything about it. I cannot return it and I can’t get in touch with the company since they are out of business.

This is a warning to anyone who finds this online and wants to buy it because they are still available for purchase online. There are many complaints about the battery issue as well.

Suggested solution:

I just wanted to warn anyone looking to buy this that there is a high chance they won\'t work because of the battery issues. Plus ANKI is no longer in business.
