My complaint:
Yesterday afternoon Monday 1.5.2023 public holiday my partner and I were driving back from Yeppoon to Townsville after visiting my Grandchildren. Between Bowen and Home Hill a Driver in a Globetrotter B Double AMart marked truck Regn of trailer 809QZU tailgated my car at a very dangerous distance. I was doing the required 100 klm per hour and a vehicle in front of me a Nissan Navara Utility was doing the required 100 klm per hour speed limit as well. The AMart truck driver continually proceeded to follow my vehicle at a very unsafe and dangerous distance in an intimidating manner repeatedly for at least 20 kilometres or more until when we reached Home Hill township when I felt so unsafe that I pulled over and parked so that he could go past and away from me. After continuing the journey I could see that he was doing the same to the other car I was following. It got to a point where I felt like ringing the Police in Ayr and making a formal complaint to them as I believe he was driving so dangerously he would cause an accident and injure someone. I am a 65 year old woman and no-one should have to be subjected to this behaviour. I have shopped with your Company and also my daughter and her family and this incident disappointed and upset me so much I no longer feel like being a customer. It is people like him that gives your Company a bad name and his behaviour should be made accountable when he is driving around the country with your name of AMart Furniture and Home Suite Home on his Trailer.
Suggested solution:
I believe the Truck Driver should be spoken to about his behaviour and instructed to drive behind someone at a safe dustance which is 90 ft in a Truck I believe. I would welcome an apology but that most likely won't be forthcoming from the individual involved.
